WHY I’M RUNNING

Justice with compassion

Criminal justice has always been my passion and I’ve pursued it almost exclusively for my entire legal career. I know what it means to balance the needs of victims with the rights of the accused.

I have stared down rapists and pedophiles, fraudsters and thieves.  But I have also seen the power of compassion, finding smart alternatives to incarceration in those cases where justice is better served by getting someone the help they need.

As your next DA, I will continue the work to make Westchester safer while also making our criminal justice system fairer and stronger.

On December 13, 2023, in front of the Richard J. Daronco County Courthouse and a crowd of nearly 200 people, retired Judge Susan Cacace announced her candidacy for Westchester County District Attorney.
